9 months agoWashington Nationals outfielder James Wood got off to a hot start this spring. The 21-year-old blasted the first pitch he saw on Saturday over the wall. He carried that power into Sunday's contest. Wood smashed a two-run home run during Sunday's win over the Miami Marlins. Despite the early success, it's doubtful that Wood will crack the Opening Day roster. He slashed .248/.334/.492 with a ton of strikeouts during his time in Double-A last season.
