3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson's (Achilles) return from an Achilles' injury is unclear, but he could be ready for the start of the 2022 season. He suffered a torn Achilles in Week 16 against the New York Jets. The 23-year-old logged 161 carries for 767 yards and eight touchdowns while adding 31 receptions for 222 yards on 46 targets over 14 games in 2021. Jacksonville is expected to have 2021 first-rounder Travis Etienne back, who missed the entire 2021 season due to a Lisfranc injury. Veteran running back Carlos Hyde is also under contract, making the Jaguars backfield crowded. According to Michael DiRocco of ESPN, "Jacksonville's coaching staff also believed there was minimal drop-off between Robinson and Carlos Hyde, who ran for 253 yards and averaged 3.5 yards per carry." Robinson will rehab and look to make a full recovery for the 2022 season but will have competition for attempts in Jacksonville's backfield with Hyde in the mix and the return of Etienne.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
