James Pazos Traded To Rockies
6 years agoThe Colorado Rockies acquired relief pitcher James Pazos in exchange for minor league infielder Hunter Stovall on Friday. Pazos has spent the entirety of this season in the Philly minor leagues due to control issues, but if he can get them ironed out with Colorado's Triple-A pitching staff, he could get some big league time this year. Pazos is a lefty who has previously pitched with the Yankees and Mariners, and he's traditionally a high-strikeout, high-walk kind of guy. He's taken a turn in the minors this year as he's posted a 4/7 K/BB ratio in 7 1/3 innings of work to this point, so he's probably a ways away from getting called up. That said, Colorado pursued him for a reason, so he's worth keeping an eye on if he can get his issues worked out.
