James Paxton Wins First Game Of Doubleheader
5 years agoThe New York Yankees are hosting the Baltimore Orioles for four more games at Yankee Stadium and the first game Monday afternoon went much like the previous ones. Starter James Paxton went six innings, surrendering three runs on five hits and a pair of walks. In what has continued to be a weakness for the Canadian native, he surrendered a run in the first inning yet again. Paxton allowed two home runs, but his offense was back to usual against their familiar punching bag in Baltimore, picking up a, 8-5 victory. The 30-year-old, now having won three straight, saw his record improve to 8-6 on the year while his ERA stands at 4.40.
