James Paxton To Undergo Season-Ending Surgery
James Paxton (elbow) will undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery. Paxton managed to record only four outs in his season debut on April 6 before leaving with discomfort in his throwing arm, and now he is confirmed to be out for the year. This was largely a foregone conclusion since the days following the injury, but Paxton has been exploring other options. Unfortunately, this will end his season early for the second consecutive year, and Paxton can be dropped in all single-season fantasy formats.
