James Paxton Strikes Out Eight More In Win
6 years agoHeading into Friday night's game against the San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees hurler James Paxton had consecutive outings of zero earned runs and 12 strikeouts. While this performance wouldn't replicate those, he walked away with another victory. The 30-year-old faded in the sixth inning, getting pulled after just 5 2/3 innings of work and three runs allowed. He struck out eight more, making that 32 across his last three starts, en route to his third victory of the season. Paxton is arguably New York's second best starter at the moment, behind the surprising Domingo German.
