James Paxton Posts Second Consecutive Quality Start
5 years agoWith the offense mauling the Baltimore Orioles Wednesday night, New York Yankees starter James Paxton easily handled business on the mound. The 30-year-old went six innings for the second consecutive time, going 6 2/3 innings and allowing just one run on five hits. Paxton struck out seven and allowed a home run in the 108-pitch performance. With the Yankees clicking on all cylinders at the plate, pitching will be what defines them when it matters most. While Domingo German continues to be a reliable starter, Paxton will be one of the starters who must step up and these last two performances are a start.
