James Outman Powers Dodgers With Grand Slam
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder James Outman launched a grand slam in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Minnesota Twins. Outman broke the tie in the bottom of the seventh after Miguel Vargas drove in the tying run to set him up with bases loaded and two outs. The 26-year-old cranked his ninth homer of the season and second career grand slam. The ball traveled 407 feet and landed just out of the reach of Twins center fielder Michael A. Taylor. Outman is slashing .264/.354/.903 with nine homers and 27 RBI. He also boasts a 140 wRC+, .376 wOBA, and a 1.4. He's been one of the most impactful rookie position players since the beginning of the year and is already a candidate for NL Rookie of the Year.
