James McCann Headed To Injured List With Oblique Injury
2 years agoThe New York Mets will be placing catcher James McCann (oblique) on the 10-day injured list due to an oblique injury, according to Mets beat reporter Anthony DiComo. The team will be activating fellow catcher Patrick Mazeika prior to Sunday's game against the Miami Marlins. However, Tomas Nido will be getting the start behind the plate for Sunday's game. McCann suffered the oblique injury during Saturday's game and he was forced to exit the contest. He underwent an MRI on Sunday and the team hasn't released the results of the MRI yet. Injuries have limited McCann to just 30 games this year. He's slashed .183/.250/.293 across those 30 games.
