James Karinchak Records Save For Indians Thursday
4 years agoCleveland Indians reliever James Karinchak recorded his first career save in Thursday's 2-0 win over the Twins. He did so rather easily, recording a strikeout in the six-pitch effort for a 1-2-3 ninth. The Tribe's regular closer Brad Hand showed some decreased velocity in Wednesday's non-save situation and allowed three earned runs while only recording one. With Hand searching for answers, Karinchak may be in line for more saves. He's worth rostering in all formats since his high-strikeout arm gives him significant fantasy appeal with or without the closer job.
