2 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher James Kaprielian (shoulder) threw a two-inning simulated game on Thursday. This is the second time that Kaprielian has faced live hitters this spring. He threw 30 pitches in this one and mentioned he is hopeful to be ready in time for Opening Day. The 29-year-old is coming off surgery to repair the AC joint in his right shoulder. Kaprielian is hopeful to make his Cactus League debut sometime this next week. Kaprielian showed some nice flashes last season, but is more of a deep league option.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
