James Kaprielian Likely To Start On Sunday
3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher James Kaprielian (shoulder) is likely to come off the injured list and start Sunday's finale with the Rangers, according to Martin Gallegos of MLB.com. Kaprielian was placed on the injured list last Saturday with a shoulder impingement, but it appears that it was not a major issue and he'll only require a minimal stay on the IL. Kaprielian has been having a nice rookie campaign this year, going 5-4 with a 3.24 ERA, 1.161 WHIP and 26.5 percent strikeout rate across 72 1/3 innings of work. He's put up decent numbers against the Rangers this year with a 3.71 ERA and 1.235 WHIP over three starts, and he could have another solid outing against them on Sunday
