James Johnson Waived By Nets
3 years agoThe Brooklyn Nets have waived veteran forward James Johnson. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the move was made in order for the team to convert the contract of forward Kessler Edwards to a standard contract ahead of the playoffs. Johnson had been sidelined for the team's last two games due to a non-COVID illness. He played in 62 games for the Nets this year, starting 10 of them. He averaged 5.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. We'll see if another team reaches out to him ahead of the 2021-22 playoffs.
