James Harden Sees Three-Pointers Streak End In Awful Fashion
6 years agoHouston Rockets guard James Harden, who had made at least five three-pointers in 12 consecutive games, couldn't stretch the streak any further on Sunday against Orlando, finishing a shocking 1-for-17 from behind the arc. He tied Damon Stoudamire for most missed triples in a single game throughout league history. However, Harden still managed to get 38 points on 11-for-32 overall shooting, matching Kobe Bryant for the league's longest streak with 30-plus points since the NBA-ABA merger in 1976-77. He'll look to get past Kobe on Monday night with his 17th consecutive 30-plus point outing. The Rockets play Memphis against whom Harden has averaged 37.5 points per game this season.
