James Harden Goes Off For 38 Points And 11 Assists
4 years agoBrooklyn Nets guard James Harden went off for 38 points and 11 assists in a big come-from-behind victory over the Suns. Harden added seven boards, five triples, and a steal while committing just two turnovers in 37 minutes. The Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving-less Nets were down by as many as 24 points in this one but mounted a furious second-half comeback that was capped off late in the fourth quarter by a huge Harden three. The 31-year-old is averaging fewer points per game- that's to be expected playing with two stars- but is on pace for a career-high 11.8 assists per game along with career-best marks in efficiency, with shooting splits of 50.2/40.7/90.5. Harden will probably be joined by one of Irving or Durant for Thursday night's big showdown against the Lakers, though he's shown he can put up big numbers with or without his fellow stars.
