James Bouknight Dealing With Wrist Injury
3 years agoCharlotte Hornets rookie point guard James Bouknight (wrist) was ruled out for Monday's game against the Toronto Raptors due to a right wrist sprain. It's been a rough year for the rookie out of Connecticut, who was selected 11th overall in this past year's draft. He's seen limited playing time off the bench. In the team's most recent game before this one, he voiced his frustrations to head coach James Borrego and the video of Bouknight's rant made the social media rounds. The 21-year-old has a great deal of potential on the offensive side of the ball, but we're unlikely to see much of that materialize this year. He's appeared in just 25 games while averaging 4.8 points per game and shooting just 36.8% from the field.
