Murray made his return on Monday night against Golden State after missing four games with right knee soreness but suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in the closing minutes, ending his season early. Without Murray in the equation, Facundo Campazzo will likely continue to start moving ahead, with Nikola Jokic benefiting in terms of usage and differential.

The team listed Murray as questionable on the initial injury report, but sources have told NBA insider Chris Haynes that the Canadian star will not play in the contest. Russell Westbrook is set to receive the keys to the backcourt again. He racked up 12 points, 12 rebounds, 16 assists, two blocks, and three steals in 42 minutes when Murray exited the lineup for Monday's matchup against the Golden State Warriors.

Jamal Murray Uncertain For Wednesday
3 days agoDenver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray (ankle) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. After making 16 consecutive appearances, Murray came out of the lineup on Monday against the Golden State Warriors due to an ankle sprain. With Murray out and Nikola Jokic (elbow, ankle) joining him on the sidelines, Russell Westbrook ran the offense on Monday, finishing with a triple-double that included a season-high 16 assists. At the same time, Aaron Gordon took on a lot more offensive duties, leading all scorers with a season-high 38 points.

Jamal Murray Sits Out Monday's Action
5 days agoDenver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray (ankle) will not play on Monday against the Golden State Warriors. He has been ruled out due to a right ankle sprain. The Nuggets will head out without Murray for the first time since Feb. 6. Nikola Jokic (elbow, ankle) will also have the night off, so Russell Westbrook, Michael Porter Jr., and Aaron Gordon will take charge of the offense. At the same time, Jalen Pickett and Hunter Tyson could get more work off the bench.

Murray has been on the injury report for much of the season due to inflammation in his left knee, but he hurt his right ankle on Saturday against the Washington Wizards, and this new injury may prevent him from playing on Monday night. Nikola Jokic (elbow, ankle) is also uncertain for Monday night, so the keys to the offense could be handed to Russell Westbrook.
