Jamahal Hill Set For Main Event With Title Aspirations
2 years agoThe time has finally come for former Contender Series alumni Jamahal Hill (11-1) to sit atop the light-heavyweight division as he takes on long-time veteran Glover Teixeira in the main event of UFC 283 for the vacant title on Saturday. Aside from an arm injury that led to a TKO loss to Paul Craig, Hill has gone 6-1 (1 no-contest) since joining the UFC. A dangerous finisher with his striking, seven of his 11 career wins have come by knockout/TKO. Hill will need to use his 6.46 significant strikes landed per minute to take control of the dangerous Teixeira. DraftKings sees Hill as the favorite with a salary of $8,400. Throughout his UFC career (six bouts), he is averaging 73.2 points per contest. This looks to be Hill's time to sit atop the division, and a finish could be possible.
