Jamaal Williams Wants To Stay In Detroit
2 years agoDetroit Lions running back Jamaal Williams is set to enter unrestricted free agency in March after enjoying a career-best season in which he led the NFL in rushing touchdowns. Following a Week 18 win over the Green Bay Packers, Williams insinuated that he would like to return to the team next season, and he reiterated this sentiment on Wednesday. "I really just want to stay with Detroit, if I can," the 27-year-old told the team's website. He also expressed a desire to play out the rest of his career as a Lion. Of course, Detroit has another talented back in D'Andre Swift under contract, but it should not come as a surprise if Williams returns on a team-friendly deal this offseason.
