Jamaal Williams Puts up Dud In Week 17
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Jamaal Williams ran for four yards on eight carries without a touchdown in a Week 17 matchup against the Detroit Lions. Williams added three catches for 16 yards on the day. Williams had put up some standout fantasy performances since assuming starting duties. Williams began the year as Green Bay’s No. 1 running back but underwhelmed and ceded the role to running back Aaron Jones. Williams regained starting duties after Jones suffered an injury in Week 15. Williams is reliable and runs hard but he lacks explosiveness needs and needs to be put in a position to succeed. In Week 17 with Green Bay’s offense in disarray following an injury to quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Williams didn’t have much of a chance. With Green Bay’s season now over, Williams figures to enter the 2019 season second on the depth chart to Jones.
