1 year agoNew Orleans Saints running back Jamaal Williams carried the ball nine times for 28 yards, leading the team in rushing yards in the preseason victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Williams looks as if he will have a similar role that he held in Detroit last season, mixing in on early downs and red zone work. However, completely displacing Alvin Kamara in those situations like he did with D'Andre Swift last season does not seem likely. Williams should see plenty of work in the first three weeks without Kamara, but his role could diminish in a backfield poised to split touches three ways between Kamara, Williams, and rookie Kendre Miller.--Brant Henson - RotoBaller
