9 months agoBrooklyn Nets forward Jalen Wilson led the offense as the team defeated the New York Knicks 92-85 in the Summer League on Tuesday. Trailing 62-57 ahead of the fourth quarter, the Nets produced a nice comeback with Wilson playing a prominent role. 15 of his game-high 27 points came in the final frame. The 23-year-old capped off his line with three rebounds, an assist, and a steal. Wilson is getting a lot of burn in the Summer League and has now hit the 20-point plateau twice in three contests. He'll be back on the court after missing the previous game due to calf tightness. Wilson is currently getting extra work in the rotation because Brooklyn is battling injuries. This gives the 24-year-old additional fantasy value, but Wilson's performances have been up and down, making him a risky choice for managers. Wilson was a late scratch ahead of Wednesday's game due to right calf tightness. The Nets will likely wait to see how Wilson feels closer to tip-off before making a final decision. He has played over 33 minutes in each of his last two games. The Nets are banged up right now, so Wilson would be a decent streaming option if active on Friday. 9 months agoBrooklyn Nets forward Jalen Wilson was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2024 Summer League. Wilson averaged 21.8 points and 4.6 rebounds. He also shot 47.3% from the field and 55.0% from behind the arc. Although the 23-year-old didn't see the floor often as a rookie, that's expected to change in 2024-25. With the Nets in rebuilding mode, Wilson could also find his way into the starting lineup if the team parts ways with Cameron Johnson, a move that's been rumored for months.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
