Jalen Hurts Could Thrive Against Chiefs Defense In Super Bowl
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII on Sunday. The 24-year-old has not posted the most impressive stat lines over the past two playoff games, throwing for a total of just 275 yards and two touchdowns. Hurts failed to top 150 passing yards two weeks ago against San Francisco's top-rated defense, and he did not throw a touchdown. However, Philadelphia has not needed him to throw often in these games. The Eagles dominated both games on the ground with their run game, and Hurts has been a big part of that. This week's game against Kansas City will likely be different. The Chiefs' defense allowed the third-most fantasy points to the quarterback position this past regular season and will have primarily rookie cornerbacks covering A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. With opposing quarterback Patrick Mahomes likely keeping pace with the Eagles' defense and scoring at a much higher rate than recent opponents, Hurts could be in for a big day against a struggling Kansas City pass defense. Mahomes will be the top option for many in DFS, but Hurts is an equally good option that will be cheaper on most sites.
