Jalen Hurts Could Be Stuck In The Pocket More Often
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts could end up throwing from the pocket more often in the upcoming season than he did in his rookie year. Last year, Hurts completed only 52 percent of his pass attempts but ran 63 times for 354 yards and three touchdowns. With new head coach Nick Sirianni coming from an offensive coordinator position where he worked with quarterbacks like Andrew Luck and end-stage Philip Rivers, it remains to be seen how he will work the running aspect of Hurts' game into the playbook. For now, Sirianni has not even committed to Hurts as his starter, but with Joe Flacco next on the depth chart in Philly, there's not likely to be too much of a competition before Week 1.
