5 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays called up pitcher Jalen Beeks on Tuesday to serve as the bulk pitcher behind opener Ryne Stanek against the division-rival Yankees. Outfielder Guillermo Heredia was optioned to Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move. Beeks has been excellent for the Rays this year, going 5-0 with a 2.79 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 51 strikeouts in 61 1/3 innings over his 19 outings. It's a tough matchup against the explosive Bronx Bombers, but Beeks is still in play as a low-priced DFS option who should be in line to pick up another win.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
