Jakub Vrana Nets 11th Goal Of The Season
5 years agoWashington Capitals left wing Jakub Vrana netted his 11th goal of the season on Saturday, opening the scoring in a 2-1 shootout loss to Vancouver. Lars Eller provided the lone assist on the play. Vrana has demonstrated good scoring form throughout the season, especially in the opening period. He now has seven first-period goals for the season, which is the second-most in the league behind Boston's David Pastrnak. Only Alex Ovechkin has scored more goals for the Caps this season and Vrana is on pace for a 30-goal year. He's also set to surpass the 60-point mark for the first time in his career.
