Jakobi Meyers Potential Sleeper Vs. Chargers
2 months agoAs the Raiders face off against the Chargers in Week 1, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers presents an interesting fantasy choice. The Chargers had one of the league's worst passing defenses, ranked 30th last season, allowing 249.8 yards per game, which bodes well for Meyers' potential production. Meyers demonstrated his ceiling last season, catching 71 passes for 807 yards and nine total touchdowns, which showcases his ability to find the end zone. However, consistency was an issue, with five targets or less in eight games. The Chargers defense allowed seven players to surpass 100 receiving yards in a game last year, and 24 players scored touchdowns against them. Given Meyers' role in the Raiders' offense and the favorable matchup, he could exceed expectations. While not a guaranteed start, he's worth considering as a flex option or WR3 in deeper leagues. Keep an eye on his target share early in the game as an indicator of his potential output.
