Jakob Chychrun Finally Lights The Lamp
3 years agoArizona Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun, who led all blue-liners with 18 goals in 2020-21, finally scored his first goal of the new season on Saturday, ending Juuse Saros' shutout bid late with a power-play goal in a 4-1 loss against Nashville. Shayne Gostisbehere and Phil Kessel, who skated in his 915th consecutive game, tallied the assists. Despite the goal, it was another miserable night for Chychrun, who finished with a minus-one rating in 23:27 of ice time. He's carrying a league-worst minus-22 rating for the season, and it's not even close. It's been an awful season for Chychrun, who sits on just two points, and there sadly aren't any signs of things improving.
