Jake Rogers Likely Out Until September
3 years agoDetroit Tigers catcher Jake Rogers (forearm) was placed on the injured list this past Monday due to a right forearm strain. It was originally estimated that he would miss two or three weeks, but now it sounds like the injury will keep him out longer. The team is going to shut him down for 2-4 weeks and the goal is for him to return to the club in September. Rogers has appeared in 38 games for the Tigers this year, slashing .239/.306/.496 with six home runs, 17 RBI and 17 runs. Eric Haase and Grayson Greiner will be the team's primary catchers while Rogers is out.
