3 years agoThe Houston Astros placed starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi (leg) on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday. Fellow right-handed pitcher Seth Martinez was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move. The injury designation for Odorizzi's move to the injured list is leg discomfort. The 32-year-old was carted off the field during Monday's game after sustaining what looked to be a significant leg injury. The injury occurred when he took an awkward step toward first base to cover the bag. There's wide speculation that Odorizzi could be out for an extended period, but he hasn't received a diagnosis yet, so we are in wait-and-see mode as of now. The veteran was off to a nice start to the year prior to the injury with a 3.13 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP over seven starts.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
