Jake Odorizzi Headed For 10-Day Injured List
5 years agoUpdating a previous report, Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi (finger) will be placed on the 10-day injured list due to a blister on his middle finger, manager Rocco Baldelli said after Tuesday's game with the Oakland Athletics. As a result, Odorizzi will miss the 2019 All-Star Game in Cleveland, too. Before departing, Odorizzi was hammered for six runs - five earned - and four hits in three-plus innings, and he is now 0-2 with an 8.76 ERA over his past three starts following a 10-game winning streak. RHP Zack Littell will be recalled from Triple-A Rochester to replace Odorizzi on the roster.
