Jake Odorizzi Eyeing First Homestand For Season Debut
4 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi expects to be ready to take the mound for his team's first homestand. Odorizzi is continuing to build up his arm for regular-season action, as he threw his second live batting practice on Friday, lining him up to make his Grapefruit League debut on Wednesday. While he likely won't be ready for the team's opening road trip, it's still encouraging that he won't be too far behind schedule after his late free agency signing. Odorizzi was effective in his most recent full season with the Twins in 2019, winning 15 games while posting a 3.51 ERA with 178 strikeouts against just 53 walks. His current ADP is 182.
