1 year agoSan Francisco 49ers kicker Jake Moody (quadriceps) is seemingly on track to play in Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Head coach Kyle Shanahan and GM John Lynch provided an update on the rookie on Wednesday. The third-round rookie won the job when veteran Zane Gonzalez also suffered an injury and was placed on injured reserve. The former All-American kicker had a shaky preseason, missing two field goals but also delivering a game-winning kick in San Francisco's lone preseason win. Shanahan did mention the possibility of the team bringing in another kicker soon but this looks to be Moody's job once healthy.--Andrew Ball - RotoBaller
