1 year agoSan Francisco 49ers kicker Jake Moody (quadriceps) was on the practice field on Monday, kicking on a side field with newly-signed practice squad kicker Matthew Wright. The third-round rookie won the job when veteran Zane Gonzalez also suffered an injury and was placed on injured reserve. As injury insurance, the Niners signed Wright to the practice squad late last week. Moody, a former All-American at Michigan, missed two field goals during preseason action. If healthy, he will be the team's starting kicker against Pittsburgh this weekend.--Andrew Ball - RotoBaller
