Jake McGee Takes Loss Wednesday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Jake McGee took his second loss of the season in Wednesday's 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Rangers. McGee entered to pitch the bottom of the 11th inning with the game tied and an automatic runner on second. He got the first two batters out, intentionally walked Isiah Kiner-Falefa, then gave up a game-ending RBI single to Brock Holt. McGee's fantasy value has taken a hit since the beginning of the season, as he has ceded his closer status to Tyler Rogers for the most part. He has pitched better lately, lowering his season ERA to 3.76, but his fantasy value will remain limited as long as he does not see save situations.
