6 years agoColorado Rockies relief pitcher Jake McGee was pulled early on Monday against the Rays after he told the trainers something in his knee "felt kind of funny." McGee had thrown 1 1/3 clean innings prior to suffering the injury, but he was removed after a short discussion with the training staff. After the game, McGee passed all tests with no issue and said he felt fine, but an update is expected sometime Tuesday or Wednesday. McGee has been hot and cold for the last few years, alternating between good seasons and poor ones. According to that unscientific method, McGee's due for a good season in 2019, and so far, he's been on point in his two outings this season.
