Jake McGee Earns Ninth Save Of Season Monday
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants closer Jake McGee picked up his ninth save of the season in Monday's 3-1 win over the Rangers. McGee entered the game in the ninth inning up by two. He struck out Nate Lowe, allowed a single, got the second out, allowed another single, and then got the third out. McGee has now converted back-to-back saves, which is encouraging given that he had allowed runs in each of his three previous outings. The veteran now owns a 4.80 ERA and 33.8% strikeout rate on the season. He remains a high-tier fantasy closer for the foreseeable future.
