Jake McGee Earns Exciting Save Wednesday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Jake McGee made things interesting in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Mets. McGee came on to pitch the ninth inning up by a run. He struck the first hitter out, allowed a single, had another runner reach on a fielding error, got the second out on a pop-out, and then walked the bases loaded. Fortunately, he was able to get the third out on a line-out, leaving the bases loaded and picking up his 29th save of the season. McGee has been solid overall for the Giants this season, posting a 2.63 ERA and 9.22 K/9 rate. He remains a higher-end fantasy option as he sees the majority of save situations for the best team in baseball.
