Jake McGee Allows Two Runs Sunday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Jake McGee allowed two runs (one earned) in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Dodgers. McGee entered the game to pitch the ninth inning up by four. Austin Barnes reached on a Kris Bryant throwing error, and McGee then gave up a two-run home run to Albert Pujols. He was able to get the next three outs around a single with a final stat line of two runs allowed (one earned) on two hits and no walks with a strikeout. The veteran has now allowed runs in back-to-back games, but still has a 2.81 ERA on the season with 29 saves and a 25% strikeout rate. He remains a fantasy reliever to trust given his overall performance and how well the Giants have played.
