6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks third baseman Jake Lamb was diagnosed with fraying in his left shoulder following a visit with Dr. James Andrews on Tuesday. Manager Torey Lovullo says that surgery is an option for Lamb, and opting to go under the knife would end his season. Lamb could also choose to rehabilitate the injury in hopes of returning this season. Lamb himself has not commented on the injury, but a decision will likely be made by Thursday. Newly acquired Eduardo Escobar will be the regular third baseman for the foreseeable future.--Jonathan Chan - Rotoballer
