Jake Junis To Start Saturday
6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Jake Junis (back) will come off the disabled list to start against the Twins on Saturday. Danny Duffy is starting Friday and Brad Keller will close out the series on Sunday. The team plans to keep Burch Smith and Heath Fillmyer in the rotation until Ian Kennedy (oblique) is back from injury. Junis has been out since July 8. He had a 3.62 ERA in his first 12 starts but has allowed 28 runs and 12 long balls in 27 innings since in five losses. Even in a good matchup, Junis is too risky to use as a streamer on Saturday.
