2 years agoFormer Los Angeles Rams running back Jake Funk, who cleared waivers on Wednesday, signed with the New Orleans Saints practice squad, according to a source. Funk played just one offensive snap with the Rams this year before he was waived on Tuesday. In New Orleans, he'll serve as running back depth behind Alvin Kamara (ribs), Mark Ingram II and Dwayne Washington. Tight end Taysom Hill was the team's best RB in the Week 5 win over the Seattle Seahawks, and he's expected to remain heavily involved moving forward. Funk, a former seventh-round pick by the Rams in 2021, had just two carries for five yards in 10 games (zero starts) in his rookie season last year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
