1 year agoQuarterback Jake Fromm was informed by the Washington Commanders that he did not make the initial 53-man roster. The former Georgia quarterback played in all three preseason games for Washington, finishing 28-for-41 for 261 yards and three touchdowns. His strong exhibition play included leading a game-winning drive against the Baltimore Ravens. The Commanders opted to keep veteran Jacoby Brissett on the roster to back up starter Sam Howell. If Fromm goes unclaimed on waivers, he's a strong candidate to end up back in Washington and dress for games under the NFL's new rules.--Andrew Ball - RotoBaller
