Jake Ferguson Looking Like A "Long Shot" To Play On Thursday
19 seconds agoDallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said on 105.3 The Fan on Monday that it's "a little more of a long shot" for tight end Jake Ferguson (concussion) to play in Week 13 on Thursday on Thanksgiving against the division-rival New York Giants. Ferguson suffered a concussion in the Week 11 loss to the Houston Texans last Monday night and was unable to play in the upset win over the division-rival Washington Commanders in Week 12. With a short turnaround this week, Ferguson is unlikely to be able to clear the league's concussion protocol, meaning he'll probably be inactive for a second straight game. Backup Luke Schoonmaker played 65% of the offensive snaps on Sunday without Ferguson and caught three passes for 55 yards and a touchdown. Schoonmaker is setting up to be a TE2 streamer for the second straight week on Turkey Day against the G-Men.
