Jake Ferguson Could Have Significant Role
1 year agoDallas Cowboys second-year tight end Jake Ferguson's stock has taken a noticeable upturn during training camp, according to The Athletic's Saad Yousuf. Ferguson will be taking over No. 1 tight end duties in Dallas this year after the departure of Dalton Schultz, who was one of quarterback Dak Prescott's favorite targets. The 24-year-old caught 19 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games (eight starts) in his rookie year in 2022 and has built on his role this summer. If Ferguson continues to earn Prescott's trust in 2023, he could be a high-volume piece in a stacked offensive skill group. He'll probably go undrafted in most standard-sized fantasy leagues, but Ferguson could become a popular streamer by the end of the year if he continues to improve. Prescott has even labeled Ferguson as a potential breakout player this season.
