2 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Jake Faria had his contract selected from Triple-A Worcester on Sunday. He is taking the roster spot of Chris Martin (shoulder), who was just placed on the 15-day injured list. Faria hasn't looked good in the minors this season, posting a 10.80 ERA and 2:00 WHIP over five innings so it's unclear how long his stay with the big league club will last.
