Jake DeBrusk Strong for Bruins in Comeback Win
5 years agoJake DeBrusk scored two goals in a come-from-behind win against the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday. Connor Clifton and Brad Marchand had the other goals for Boston. Ondrej Case had two helpers. Jaroslav Halak recorded the win despite a shaky start that saw him allow three goals on just 19 shots. Jake DeBrusk Rejoins Bruins Lineup Tuesday
1 year agoBoston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk (undisclosed) will hop back into the lineup on Tuesday against Calgary. The 27-year-old was unavailable for a clash with the Flyers before the All-Star break. DeBrusk has blown hot and cold throughout the season and sits on 25 points (12 goals, 13 assists) with 47 games played. However, he's set to feature on the top line with Brad Marchand and Charlie Coyle on Tuesday, meaning DeBrusk will have a good opportunity to regain momentum after going scoreless in his last two appearances. The Bruins also get defenseman Derek Forbort (undisclosed) back against the Flames.

Jake DeBrusk Scratched For Missing Team Meeting
1 year agoBoston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk will be kept out of the lineup on Saturday versus Los Angeles because he missed a team meeting. Milan Lucic is expected to take his place on the first line. DeBrusk has had a tumultuous time in Beantown, and it has continued with the latest incident. It also comes after a less-than-impressive start to the season from DeBrusk, who has gone scoreless in three games with nine shots on goal. Lucic sits on one point through three games and now gets an opportunity to make a bigger mark, although he is past his best, and fantasy managers shouldn't put too much expectations on the veteran.

Jake DeBrusk Hopes To Stay In Boston
2 years agoBoston Bruins left wing Jake DeBrusk wants to stay in Beantown and hopes to agree to an extension with the club. The 26-year-old is entering the final season of his current contract. "I'm hoping to stay. It's the only team that I know and the team that I grew up with," DeBrusk told NHL.com this week. "Hopefully it goes in that direction, and we'll see how it goes. That's why I have an agent, and I told him I wanted to stay out of this one and in time, it'll be nice when it all gets done." DeBrusk has made a big U-turn regarding his future, as he asked for a trade as recently as the 2021-22 campaign. However, after rescinding the trade request, DeBrusk put together his strongest season yet, registering 27 goals and 50 points in 64 games last term. He aims to do even better in 2023-24. "If I stay healthy, I think I can score 30 this season," DeBrusk said. "I've knocked on the door twice with 27, and I have 25 in there as well. I think if I stay healthy, that's obviously the goal, to finally get to that 30 mark."

2 years agoBuffalo Sabres winger Jake DeBrusk scored his 22nd goal of the season and handed out three assists in Sunday's big 7-0 victory over the Sabres. The 26-year-old suffered a bad injury in the Winter Classic, but he's bounced back well from it, posting six goals and eight assists in 15 games since returning to the lineup. It's been a major breakthrough campaign for the 26-year-old forward, with DeBrusk having recorded 44 points and a plus-22 rating in 51 appearances.
