Jake Cronenworth Pops First Homer Thursday
2 years agoSan Diego Padres infielder Jake Cronenworth hit his first home run of the season on Thursday in a 7-6 loss to the Atlanta Braves. Cronenworth went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks in the contest while managing to cross the plate three times and delivering an RBI. The lefty appears to be heating up, going 4-for-6 with three extra-base hits in his last two games after a sluggish start where he managed just one hit in his first 17 at-bats. Currently hitting fifth in a stacked Padres lineup, Crone-zone has a chance to put up monster counting stats this season. That combined with his multi-eligibility could make for a nice fantasy asset.
