Jake Cronenworth Batting .214 Following Wednesday's Game
3 years agoSan Diego Padres infielder Jake Cronenworth's batting average dropped to .214 after Wednesday's game, in which he went 0-for-4 with an RBI and two strikeouts during the 7-5 loss to the Chicago Cubs. Although his walk rate and strikeout rate are sitting at 12.8% and 18.4%, respectively, he hasn't gotten it going and owns a .657 OPS with two home runs. However, he continues to lead off, has 15 runs and 15 RBI, and his expected batting average is sitting at .253. Fantasy managers should at least expect the 28-year-old to contribute counting stats without hurting the batting average moving forward.
