Jake Butt Showing Promise
6 years agoAfter missing his entire 2017 rookie season due to an ACL injury, Denver Broncos tight end Jake Butt opened the season catching two passes for 29 yards against the Seahawks in Week 1 and followed up his debut effort with a four-catch, 48-yard performance Sunday in the Broncos 20-19 victory over Oakland. Butt has now received 10 targets on the season compared to the four received by fellow tight end Jeff Heuerman, and he looks to be the primary receiving option at the TE position for the Broncos. Butt could be worth a speculative add as the Broncos offense figures to be effective, but he hasn't provided much reason to rush out and pick him up just yet.
